Paybacks

Here's one story from down south about a winning incumbent dealing with his challengers in the Sheriff's Department.

It will be interesting when they go to PORAC And get the LDF lawyers involved in this to fight the demotions.

I will be watching for that monthly magazine to see what the outcome is.

There is no way he can say it wasn't retaliation. I doubt there was anything in their files that would support the demotions.

Hi,

I heard last night from a highly ranked member of the EPD that Dikeman will be getting the ax at 5:30 today.

Not sure how to take this, with, or without a grain of salt, as I'm not sure how many of Gallego's confidnants within the DA's office would be confiding to members of EPD.

That's been discussed in all law enforcement circles since the whole mess started. Nothing new there and pretty much everyone has been expecting it.

If he had fired him before the election and the results, it wouldn't have been a very smart move on his part.

well, i figured worth would be given his walking papers, and even though I voted for him, I think he should quit or retire and that Paul absolutely should give him the boot. Today at 5:30 was the first concrete date I've heard. Does this time minimize or maximize the media exposure??

The media will jump on it no matter what time it happens (if it does). It's a question that is on everyone's mind.

Where's Paul?

I'd like to see Paul get a wrongful dismissal lawsuit slapped on his ass.

maybe more than one

I've heard grumbles in the community that officers should just let people off without arresting since they won't get anything anyways.
(No, this hasn't been said by any officers, just random people in general unhappy with the DA)

What would happen if that did start happening? It makes sense, why bust your ass trying to do a good job getting criminals off the streets and then watch the people get off with nothing, and be back on the streets within a short amount of time.

I wonder what the outcome of the Whitethorn Rape case will be. Probably a slap on the wrist and being scolded not to be bad boys anymore. That would be screwed up. But I can see it happening with Paul.

Is that what people really wanted to see happen?

not to mention the people just sent a clear message that they hate the cops.

I know I voted for Paul because I wanted to see murderers and rapists rampaging in the streets.

It had nothing to do with a desire to see a D.A. who was willing to prosecute corporate criminals.

Bring on the anarchy! Let chaos reign!

You chose corporate criminals over little kids. That is exactly what you did. We don't exactly have the highest per capita corporate criminal rate (we do have rampant palco hatred), but we do have one of the highest child abuse rates, and 0Hm CERTAINLY Paul is 100% committed to prosecuting child abusers, doing more with less, that's our boy.

It's pretty bad. I just heard officers asking what the point of their jobs was now. That no matter how good of a case they build against anyone, it won't matter.

And also a little bird mentioned that the Whitethorn Rapists are probably going to get off with a slap on the wrist because Schwartz is handling the case and he wants to plea. YAY FOR THE DA's OFFICE!!

Jeffrey 'yougofree.com' Scwartz and R Trent Salzman, just what the doctor ordered.

our county's losses will be other counties' gains.
how many resumes are out right now?

At 8:11 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Lots of resumes -

Paul can't fire Dikeman because he doesn't have enough people left in the office to cover trials. It would mean Paul would have to go to work which is impossible as he is such a party animal.

Maybe he ought to tell yougofree.com to get his feet off the desk, get off his ass, and get to work. (and quit plea bargaining all the meth dealers). yougo is another deadweight, just like Stoen.

Yougofree.com just emulates his boss Paul - both with their feet up on the desk and both about as lazy as it gets. Good grief - I can't wait till the whole thing collapses. How long do you think it is going to take and who is the next to bail out and head for a different county?
