Too Much Corn
Thanks to the rise in ethanol use more and more corn is being planted, as has been mentioned here before.
The Times- Standard had this story on the subject in their business section this morning, although I couldn't find a link to it on their web page. Hard for me to make heads or tails out of this. Some seem to be suggesting that increasing demand (coupled with more acreage planted with corn) will cause prices for corn to drop. Hmmm???
This story in the Sacramento Bee says that corn prices are at an all time high, yet not high enough for most farmers to plant corn for conversion to ethanol. Then again, it also says prices are high enough for ranchers and such to grow corn to reduce feed costs. Hmmm???
As much as I like corn, I hate to see it taking up more and more farm space. It's not the best thing to grow in regards soil health.

Looking to corn for our fuel problems is a losing equation. It's a nice try at something different, but not a solution.
"Too much Corn"
I bet you regularly say that during your rest stop visits.
I quit using the T-S ( better known as B.S. ) First of all the B.S. and Rich Somerpest ( OK - Gadfly )seem to be on every corner pestering me about subscribing to their paper . Check around and you'll find they charge huge sums of money for their classified ads . We think Somerpest has eaten too many of his free cheeseburgers and all that FAT worked its way into his brain .
