Leave Those Teeth Alone
I've never seen whale teeth, until now. Looks like someone almost got in trouble for lifting them from a whale carcass, but cooler heads seem to have prevailed and a federal case wasn't made out of it.
I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. Live and learn. I feel like a dork because I didn't realize how big they were or that it was wrong to take the teeth from a whale carcass. When the news said the teeth had been taken, I was thinking "what a cool thing to make a necklace out of...." Guess I could have been a dork with a cool HUGE necklace AND a criminal record.
Thing is, no harm done, if you did take the whale's teeth.
Unless, maybe you killed the whale yourself.
Leave those teeth alone...
Isn't that a line from a Pink Floyd song?
I think thats "Leave us kids alone...", or something along that line.
Fred, a few decades from now, do you mind if I dig you up, extract your teeth, and rebury you? No harm done, right?
Or, I could swap out your ashes in your urn with some from my fireplace. No harm done, right?
No big deal to me, 11:15. I don't have a problem with it.
Strange analogy, though.
