The Republican Presidential Debates
They were on last night. I didn't care and didn't watch them. So THERE!
I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. Please post your comments by clicking on the "comments" link at the bottom of each post. Although I do moderate comments, you need not be a registered user to post them.

I watched. Good theater. But Trump is getting awfully tiresome.
I'm sure Johnny Maniac watched at least some of it. Ok, Johnny, your turn. Which one are you thinking of voting for?
That’s 3+ hours of my life I’m never gonna’ get back. May skip the next one, or two, or eleven….
If each of them had a pile of pies on their podiums before the debate started I'd watch.
I didn't watch either. Did see comments about Carly making points. Most comments were rolleyed over it being mostly a "trump the Trump"" fest.
Reason magazine had a number of articles on the debates today. One was saying Fiorna really nailed Trump with her comment about something like "all women heard what Mr. Trump said". They included the video. I like Fiorna, but didn't think that particular comment was all that impressive.
Oh, and Reason's Nick Gillespie wrote about how Rand Paul, of all the candidates, brought the libertarian message to the debate, at least insofar as foreign policy and the drug war. From what he wrote, I'd have to agree.
But, that's about all the attention I'll pay to it. If Paul miraculously wins the nomination I might take another look at him and consider voting for him (nice to vote for someone with a chance for a change). As for now, it will likely be Gary Johnson or whoever the Libertarian Party candidate ends up being.
