Peaceful Muslims

Interesting story in the Mint Press about a large Muslim get together in Britain geared toward peace. Something not often heard by those of us, myself included, who vilify them. Last time I read anything from Mint Press, it was a supposed eye witness account of a staged chemical attack by Syrian rebels. I thought the scenario quite plausible but couldn't find any information on Mint Press and began to wonder if it was a Soviet propaganda site.

Yeah it's a funny thing about religion. Some of the followers are the most peaceful people in the world. And others are the most violent. It's bizarre.

In my opinion, organized religion has become such a team based sport that certain followers take "winning" to a whole new level.

I used to chat in chatrooms and would get into debates with seemingly normal Christians. Within a few minutes they would often be wishing harmful things on me for not being a complete follower.

Mint Press is super-shady...

But unlike their poorly-sourced Syria story, this story about the gathering in Hampshire, England is being reported in plenty of other outlets and the gathering appears to be exactly what it says it is.

More than 30,000 members of the Ahmadiyya Islamic movement met at Oakland Farm in Hampshire for a three-day convention, the 50th time the annual event has taken place.

On the final day, attendees were led by the global Caliph of the movement in a vow of peace and a pledge of allegiance to their home countries

“The only thing the terrorists are achieving is to completely violate the teachings of the Holy Koran and of the Holy Prophet Muhammad,” His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad told attendees, according to the MailOnline.

“Let it be clear that they are not practising Islam, rather it seems as though they have invented their own hate-filled and poisonous religion.”

You have to wonder, though, if it's a Russian propaganda site, why are they making the muslims look good when they're bombing them in Syria?

Well, you're the one speculating that it might be a "Russian propaganda site," not me.
