Eureka Rate Increases
The Times- Standard tells of plans to increase water and sewer rates in the city. I already e-mailed
The Mayor in opposition. Color me skeptical but I can't help but think this is a cover up for out of control pension costs
They think this could triple rates. Yikes! Yet another race to the bottom.

For me to believe the conspiracy, I'd first need to believe the tens of millions of dollars in needed sewer repairs/upgrades are not needed and will not happen after the fee increase.
I expect the fee increase to be spent on those millions in needed upgrades. But that's just me.

cant read your times standard , they blocked me a couple years ago . i just got notice here in clearlake of rate increase . 4.6 % . average water bill of 85 $ a month will go up to almost 90 $ . we have care discount here and my average monthly bill is about 25 $ so an increase wont kill me that bad .
