Democrats: The Party of the Rich?

At least according to this article in the Washington Post. Who'd a thunk it?

The wealthiest Congressional districts are also the poorest. Night and day living side by side. Gee, I'm surprised the Washington Post didn't know that.

9:50 AM, Where did you read that? Fred linked to the Washington TIMES. Anyway, how can the wealthiest also be the poorest? New "progressive" logic? Perhaps George Orwell ghost-wrote the article.

Not George Orwell, but close.
The study was undertaken by the Heritage Foundation and trumpeted in the Moonie Times not the Washingtom Post.

I'm sure it's very "fair and balanced" Study .

It feeds very much into right wing myths about "liberal elites" no wonder it's getting so much play.

ΛΕΟΝΙΔΑΣ, it's very simple. It is possible to have the largest percentage of poverty-level residents per capita and the largest percentage of ultra-rich per capita. What exactly about that fact confuses you?

Sure there are some wealthy democrats, although it is a minority. Presidential candidate Senator Joe Biden is NOT one of the wealthy.

Most people in Congress, regardless of party, are wealthy. It's a fact, Carol. Do some research. It's very simple. Those with the most money are able to advertise their way in to office almost every time. That simple political reality plays out across the nation, even in Humboldt.
