I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. Every now and then you see someone write a letter to the editor along the lines of this one. They got ripped off and they want to let the thief know how they feel about it. I don't have a problem with people venting about something but do you really think the kind of people that rip you off are the type that read newspapers?

9:12 - You evidently think like a rabid dog to make that remark in connection with this topic. Why is your hatred and intolerance for those you envy so out of control?
I feel badly for these people and all the others in this area that have to deal daily with the fact that this community is dying. That we have brought in so many addicts and people who believe that the way to live is to rob, steal and live off of the county and state dole. This is what everyday folks have to put up with to live here and it is way too sad for 9:12 to be so dismissive.
I don't think that these folks wrote it to make the louse that stole from them feel bad, but only to express their frustration and sadness to this community about what it has become.
It's very sad that people like 9:12 feel that it's wrong for people to better themselves and the places around them.
