Garberville Sanitary District

I found a couple things of interest in the latest issue of the Redwood Times:

First; this report on a meeting of the Garberville Sanitary District makes it sound like they actually have business to take care of. I was under the impression such meetings would be rather dull.

Second; Looks like Southern Humboldt isn't immune from problems with transients, trash dumping and land use issues, just like the rest of the county.

We have a serious problem with transients, and few services. The Mateel provides a free lunch several days a week. There is a homeless colony just down the onramp from my office. It also picks up this time of year, right around Reggae.

Considering the amount of garbage KMUD spews out for the Loco Solutions gangsters its little wonder Redway has trash issues.

They come when the weather gets warm, but the biggest surge is around Reggae. Then they stay and cause problems until the weather gets crappy and the first big storm hits.

It's a pain in the ass.

I hope you SoHum folks enjoy the homeless ? Maybe they'll take a dump in your front yard, burlarize you house, and steal your dog ?
