Ron Paul Backs Industrial Hemp

Yet another letter to a local paper backing Congressman Ron Paul for the Republican presidential nomination. Despite the writer's contention, I'd have to disagree that Paul has the most popular support of all the candidates. He certainly is generating some interest from all sides of the political spectrum, but it would be foolish to say he has the most popular support.

Speaking of Ron Paul, I just noticed something that slipped beneath my radar screen: Ron Paul is supporting legislation to legalize hemp farming in the United States.

Go, Paul!

Ron Paul won the latest straw polls, first among his party. It will be interesting to see how corporate media spins that one. They have done some downright unethical things to omit him from news coverage or spin reality.

I know someone posted the results of a FOX News poll on some Yahoo Group I'm in. I believe it was after that Iowa thing. They didn't show results from Ron Paul.

They showed candidates that got less votes than he did, but not his results.

I just realized Mike Thompson isn't on the list of co- sponsors of Ron Paul's Industrial Hemp bill. By golly, I think I'll send him a FAX tomorrow and ask him to sign on. Hope the rest of you will do the same.

Used to do that all the time, earlier on. Hardly ever write letters to congresscritters anymore.

Hemp makes a strong fabric and it is a renewable resource. I like Jim Hightower's column yesterday on this subject.

Hemp is as amazing as the pols fighting it are stupid.

Ron Paul is one of very few who can get us off this insane roller-coaster the neo-cons put us on.

Spread the word.

Romney is your new president. The corporations have already decided.

The excuse they give is that marijuana plants could be camouflaged in the hemp fields.

Don't know about that. Seems to me this presidential race is the Democrats to lose, despite having just as many poor candidates as the Republicans.

There is no way the cult of christians (Republican Base) will elect someone from a different cult.

Ooops. Even I forgot about Richardson, despite saying here earlier on that he was one that piqued my interest.

Edwards or Biden? Nah.
