Let Pharmacists Prescribe?

Looks like there's a movement afoot to allow pharmacists to prescribe some behind- the- counter drugs without physician oversight. Sounds like a great idea to me. Might even help bring some associated medical costs down. I'll have to keep an eye on this and see what players enter the fray, coming out for or against the idea.

Many homeless people are very knowlegeable about drugs. Why not eliminate a major source of expense in the medications business by employing homeless people to dispense prescriptions? With expensive doctors and pharmacists out of the picture, medical costs are sure to fall. Not only that, but unemployment among the homeless could be significantly reduced by implementing this plan.
