Brian Wilson is a musical genius. I just love his musical harmonies and orchestration. And yes, he is still making great music!
Remember when we could listen to this live and just have a ggod time? The new century sucks big time in my simple book. Great tunes. Good to see our old friend still groove'n
The Kennedy Center Honors was on last Wednesday night, and they did a wonderful tribute to Brian Wilson. You can find clips of it on YouTube with key words Brian Wilson and Kennedy Center Honors. I DVR'd it and have watched it numerous times. I enjoyed the Beach Boys earlier this year when they came to Eureka, but after watching the Kennedy Center show, it made me realize I didn't know much about their origins and the genius of Brian Wilson. I have a whole new appreciation and am running up my itunes bill on Beach Boys and Brian Wilson music.

Brian Wilson wasn't with The Beach Boys when they came to Eureka last year. He is on his own and many singers for his harmonies and lots of great musicians. One of his recent works is the albulm, SMILE. It is a neat recording.
Hey Fred, have you ever seen that old SNL clip where Aykroyd and Belushi show up at Brian Wilson's house dressed as cops and force him to go surfing? He's clearly in his reclusive days, and looks like the big lebowski or some such. It's pretty funny. Youtube their 3 names and it'll come up.
