COOL, Fred!
Not if the weather's like this the next two days. TOO HOT!
I think I corrected the spelling of the same plant last year, Fred. It is a perennial and is spelled geum, not guem. I just looked up the name on the internet to be sure. If we are in Eureka this weekend, we will stop by. Hopefully, this weather will continue and we can rototill and plant our vegie garden.
Thanks. Don't remember last year's notice. I just copied the info off a piece of paper the wife had written.
Talk about timing. I was going to do some plant shopping tomorrow.
You're not the only one, around this time of year. Every time I stop by the Henderson Center Rite- Aid lately there seems to be at least one person at check- out with a flat or two of plants and two or three outside going through and looking at what plants are for sale.
There were some excellent plants last year, I'll stop by if I can. I'd highly recommend the indoor ferns. The little one we got last year is very attractive, and growing well.
I got there at 8:55 and picked up some exotic house plants, species you don't find in the stores. As a matter of fact, not sure what they are. Also an African violet and a hanging planter with some petunias. Everything came to under $20.
fred keep the in-laws busy
You're not the one that left without paying, are you Andrew. I stopped by there about an hour ago and they were saying some guy came by earlier and walked off with about $20.00 worth of plants without paying for them.
Fred:
With all due respect, you should think before you post. If I had walked off without paying, would I draw attention to myself by posting about it on your blog. Get a grip, please.
Calm down, Andrew. Just asking. I wasn't accusing you.
They didn't think whoever it was took the stuff deliberately. They thought he just loaded up his stuff and forgot to pay during all the back and forth.
Fred:
Your comment had a pretty accusatory tone to it. You should know be careful about asking questions like that on a blog.
I have no way of knowing if I'm the one those charming ladies believes didn't pay. But they could be confused too. After paying, I went to my car and brought them some extra boxes to use. So I doubt if it was me they suspect. All of them were pretty occupied at the time, though.
Well, I didn't mean it that way but I suppose I can see how someone might take it that way. Was just having some fun and I appreciate your stopping by.
No man likes to be the subject of innuendo suggesting he ripped off some sweet old ladies. Anyway, I have one of the bonus plants they gave to customers at the time money is exchanged. That should settle any uncertainty.
Again: Sorry for the missed message. I appreciate you stopping by.
Or I guess I should say mixed message.
Andrew! It was a JOKE! I think.
It was intended as a light hearted comment.
a light hearted comment.
That's how it came across to me, joking, friendly,
