I mentioned last month there was a bill introduced in Sacramento that would prohibit eggs from being imported into the state if they weren't produced under the cage- free conditions of Prop 2. So, if this new bill passes, you'll have no choice but to pay higher prices for eggs, or smuggle them in from out of state.
Now it looks like even trash is trying to leave California so busy- body Assemblygal, Pat Wiggins, has introduced a bill to charge a fee on trash sent out of the state. This, we can surmise, to keep the coffers of the 450 bureaucrats of the Integrated Waste Management Board well funded.
This state is becoming as isolated as North Korea, for the same sort of reasons. We need to get rid of the Integrated Waste Management Board now. We also need the Justice Dept. in Washington D.C. to file suit against the State of California for interfering with interstate commerce.

Fred, I recently obtained 3 beautiful young chickens. When they start laying, god willing, and if the coons don't get them, god willing, I'd be happy to bring you some eggs.
I think just among bloggers you may be able to get all the eggs you need for free.
Thanks, LP. Good luck with your hens, although we actually don't buy eggs all that often. While I'm still worried about the price of eggs, I'm more worried about what the rise in egg prices might do to other foods since eggs are used as an ingredient in so many foods.
You might well end up with more eggs than you'll know what to do with. Most people I've known, including myself, that have raised chickens seem to end up with an abundance of eggs.
Watch out lodgepole,HR 875 may require you to pay a fee and be inspected if you get caught handing out eggs to Fred.
Comparing California to North Korea is an extreme statement, Fred.
I met Wiggins not so long ago and there is a really big problem with her. She is not "all there." I am not kidding here. Maybe she has dementia or something like it but she has no business being in office with her problems. What is also clear from meeting here is that she hasn't authored squat. This garbage bill was only introduced by her and written by whatever special interest group put her in office.
Please folks, just go to an event with this woman and walk up to her and talk. I feel very sorry for her, but she should be removed from office due to "incapacity."
I mentioned in a post some time ago after some outburst of hers that made it to the news that I felt she might be getting the first symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease. She is getting up there in age, I think.
She has a disability - she can not hear. However, I believe she is intelligent.
