Karen Brooks For Assembly?
She sounds good to me, so far, from her letter that was published in the Times- Standard today. Does anybody know if she has a campaign web page up yet? I haven't been able to find it if she does.
Addendum: Karen Brooks had another letter published in the Santa Rosa Press- Democrat this morning:
New ideas
EDITOR: With the state facing a $24 billion deficit, it seems like the only news coming out of Sacramento is the dismal approval rating of 13 percent or legislative proposals levying fines against ski resorts and parents for failing to provide their kids with helmets.
Meanwhile, California is still facing 12 percent unemployment with no means of increasing opportunities for Californians to attain work. Small businesses are the lifeblood of this economy and offer the opportunities for millions of Californians to work and provide for their families.
It’s time for the people to establish priorities for their state, because as it stands now the only priorities out of Sacramento seem to be re-election and nanny government.
We need new ideas and a new voice to advocate common sense ideas for California.

Apparently she doesn't have a web page, or much of a campaign. Nothing to be found on her in the news, either, except for a few mentions in the paper.
Another paper candidacy, I guess.
Shame. I would think Chesbro is ripe for a beating since he has more than his share of the blame for the state of California right now.
Campaign kick off at the Wharfinger building, Thursday, April 16 5:30 - 8pm. She says she should have her web site up by then. She is quite the little dynamo! Lots of energy and a tenacity to be reckoned with!!

Cool. Thanx. I couldn't find it.
Somebody should tell her to take her supposed e-mail address off the Smartvoter web site, though, if she's not answering her e-mail.
I stand corrected. She just replied to the e-mail I sent her.
Listen Fred, this is one smart, motivated citizen. Honest, hard working, a person who knows what it's like to make a payroll. Everything that Cheeseball has never been. Karen Brooks will be a real representative for all the people of this district. Unlike the cheese who has never done a damn thing for working folks or the unconnected.
We'll have to wait and see what her positions on some of the other issues are, but she looks good at first glance.
Are you planning to go to Karen's Tax Day campaign kickoff at the Wharfinger, Fred? I hope you do, and I request that you post a report. I'd like to know who her supporters are and what she has to say.
Me? Not sure. It usually depends on the weather and how much work I have to do. I will post details of her event here, though.
