Obama Closes Point Reyes Oyster Farm
Yep. I'd say this lies squarely at Obama's feet. The Sacramento Bee reports the Secretary of Interior decided not to renew the Drakes Bay Oyster Company's lease on the Point Reyes National Seashore. The company produces about 40% of California's oysters.
He hasn't closed down all other commercial activities in the park, but you can bet it won't be long before he decides otherwise. The few environmentalists commenting to the article are already saying this doesn't go far enough.
I'll have to admit this could well be one instance where having someone else in the White House might have made a difference.

instead of a thank you note maybe you Should send a check to the families of the oyster farmers. More unemployment, and more lost revenue for the state and the local municipalities. posting anonymously is chicken. Put your name on it.

I rest my case. We will be seeing more of this sort of thing, and not just in California.
I wonder if this will mean more white pointer attacks on surfers. The place is already scary.
That's really a shame. That oyster company was doing a standup job producing a popular product, employing people and being environmental stewards. Too bad public agency ideologues manipulated science to wrongly target and oust a community asset.

Then, whether or not a "fiscal cliff resolutionary fix" can be had, states doing really bad will simply....."APPLY DIRECT TAXATIONS WITHOUT REPRESENTATIONS UPON CERTAIN PEOPLE" by executive order (like Governor Moonshiner beaming his philosophical enslavement ideas to thieve and steal in order to "fix state created debt and deficits that subsidized others on the system"...taxations like CAL-FIRE "prevention fees").
Before too long, so many Californians will be "living off the system" that it will become easier for "The State" to become very communistic in a socio-economic fashion by the vote, easier than now!
Decisions in politics are now being schemed around "human reproduction results". Trust me on this! Political decisions are being made at every level to force people into penury if they don't "properly" procreate (whomever decided what was proper based upon natural resource depletions from population imbalances).
