Days Getting Longer Now

Hooray! I love it when the days start getting longer, not that we'll really notice for some time. Time magazine tells us about the winter solstice.

Actually the days stay the same length more or less from the 21st to the 25th. That's why the 25th was a pagan holiday and morphed into a Christian holiday to attract the masses. Also, that's where the saying "On the third day he rose again from the dead" originates. This was moved to Easter to signify the point where the daylight exceeds the darkness. Try watching 10 minutes of Zeitgeist for a complete explanation. Start at 13 minutes.
