I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. When it comes to being a despicable shakedown artist, making it rich using arcane bits of law, walking away with his 'go away' extortion money and targeting local business - there's no difference between him and Baykeeper, EPIC, ERF, and ALL of the other predatory litigious orgs. - except for the fact that people like Singleton's targets and they've come to believe the org's targets deserve it.

Rose - one difference might be the interests involved. Jason may be primarily interested in himself and his client. The other organizations are primarily interested in the community at large - often to include members of those other species we share the planet with and including those species children and our own.
