Not Voting: Part 2
Reason magazine has a commentary on not voting. Not quite the same as my or Mona Charen's theme. Reason explains why you should feel no obligation to vote. Their points are well made, but it pisses me off when I see or hear libertarians encouraging other libertarians not to vote.

Why does it puss you off Fred?
HOJ once believed if ya don't vote, don't bitch....but old ma mercy and old man fate have withered wisdom due to this sole fact below:
Voting makes shit worse, not better because it don't matter who is selected anymore, the system is too big and is failing..... AMD in this failure, the "changes for fixing" are merely "political and socioeconomics takings".
America, land of diminishing opportunity with little to zero returns for the majority, especially hurting folks below the age of 55!
"Why does it puss you off Fred?"
because there's few libertarians around and we need more people to vote for candidates that want to leave us alone.
"HOJ once believed if ya don't vote, don't bitch..."
Or as George Carlin pointed out, if you vote, you have no right to complain.. His point being, if you vote, you helped ceate the problem.
Life's a dance, we learn as we go.
HOJ tows Carlin"s position because majority voters vote popularity, not logic, not character, not conscience for Christ's sake.
Ya, it's a real "swing step" setup, people get knocked off and pummeled.
If one votes does that make them an enabler to co-dependent candidates?
Enabling is voting, voting is enabling.
Problem is, voting when only 100,000 people lived in America was vastly easier to do cuz less was needed to get done......300,000,000 is DISGUSTING and quite frankly, UNAMERICAN.
Industry has built a fraudulant American society that encumbers the public sector, special intetest lobbyists and attorneys.....the very three headed beast outta the bastian of hell.
Death will rain down on the three headed beast, victims will laugh in majority, few will feel sad but for those apathetic and naive family members who live a better life than they deserve because their lifestyle is subsidized by crimes.
Sorry my klutzy 2 left feet stepped on your toes, H.O.J. Seriously, there have been many negatives in my life, and our country does have some severe problems. Yet I feel hopeful and positive for all of us. In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
Fred, you are right. All the libertarians should vote. All the uninformed people should not vote.
No klutzy 2 left unless you are leading and don't step back with the left and lift the right;-)
Yet, unfortunately, it is gonna get way worse before healing begins.....words like hope, opportunity, change......all buzzwords, little to no beneficial results for society as a whole, nor individualism on a cherry picked contagional basis that acts as a vacuum where more and more individuals are sucked into that metaphorical toilet otherwise known as that universal black hole where matters of existence are inconsequential to that which forces the process.
Pessimism until effective, positive results.
Not all Libertarians are informed?
Depending on how you define it, many aren't really informed because they're not involved. Many just go through life doing their own thing and don't choose to mess with other people, through the ballot box, or otherwise.
You're the man, H.O.J. !
