Voting Against Rather Than For

Something I've noticed personally, but seems to be verified in this recent poll: More than half Americans' motivation for voting is to stop one candidate from winning, as opposed to their actual support for the candidate they favor.

My experience is that it should be more than half that vote that way. Seems to me, over the years when trying to encourage others to vote for the candidate I support, the most common reply by far is "Yeah, but you don't want those others to win." My guess is over 90% say that.

I suppose I'm not much different. While I may not mind wasting my vote, I don't want the other guys to win, either. At the same time, I've become convinced that despite the dire predictions of what happens if the other side wins there's usually not much difference in post election results. Whether Hillary or Trump, there will likely be little difference in end results.

Yep, Clinton and Trump strike me as similar candidates, both saying whatever they need to say to their constituents in order to get elected. Once they have their nominations locked up, they'll both become centrists in order to get elected. Trump said just yesterday he loves Latinos. lol. Clinton was a centrist at the start of her campaign, but when she realized Sanders was a real threat, she turned left. She'll move rightward again.

It's the same deal with soccer matches. Your team never wins, but you always have a team to root against.

I'm going to vote for the candidate who will work to extend full rights to all citizens. Who will work to improve opportunities for those lower on the economic ladder. Who will work to improve our relations with the rest of the world. Who will work to limit climate change. And who will work to improve our personal safety nets.

That means I'll be voting for whomever the Democratic candidate will be.

(Neither Democrat running wants to take away guns. That's a bogus scare tactic being used by the right.)

Well gee Wally, if the only right that existed was guns, it is doubtful you would be alive to have posted your comment because the "nuts" would have shot you between the eyes for such social treason and libel.

The Bill Of Rights, as a start, is much more than guns, but mother fuckers like Kendall are just liberal pieces of shit, two party system masterbationists.

Your first paragraph does not identify with Democratic Principles, but faux those DreamWorks principles are.

Two Party System candidates are yet again........ All Frauds.

Guns - so many types, styles, etc.... which guns have been taken away outlawed again? That's right, liberals have been taking away guns......it is always one gun after another until we have only cap guns left, lol.

Liberals lie out there asses, just like their conservative comrades.
