Progressive Russophobia?
Yep. It seems it to me. I'm constantly surprised at the excuses we hear from the left side of politics as to why Russia should be such an enemy. This fellow, over at antiwar.com seems to agree progressives have lost any claim to advocating for peace. A far cry from the way it was back during the Viet Nam War.

America’s elites still praise FDR for partnering with one of the great mass murderers of human history, Stalin, to defeat Hitler. They still applaud Nixon for going to China to achieve a rapprochement with the greatest mass murderer of the 20th century, Mao Zedong.
Yet Trump is not to be allowed to achieve a partnership with Putin, whose great crime was a bloodless retrieval of a Crimea that had belonged to Russia since the 18th century.
The anti-Putin paranoia here is astonishing.

I don't necessarily fear Russia. Is Putin evil within his sphere of influence? Yep. Is Crimea a strategic loss? Yep. Can a case be made for Crimea being part of Russia? Yep. Could we have peaceful relations with Putin? Yep.
What bothers me is the claim stuck to so far about not having contact with Russian operatives during the campaign (a claim contradicted by both the US intelligence community and several Russian diplomats speaking on the record to reporters back during the campaign).
And, not knowing the contents of Trump's tax return, I must wonder if this new found Putin love has a profit motive behind it. The man has attempted a few times to do business in Russia in the past, failing each time. Were they all failures? We don't know. Trump could put this particular issue to rest, but refuses to.
russia and china know our nukes are aimed at them and we know their nukes are aimed at us . they are not a problem and can easily be friends and trading partners .

There go the liberal progressives again making a mountain out of a molehill........ countries that have a nuclear Arsenal understand that not all the Arsenal will be used before the destruction of the earth occurs.
One big country to the south, one big country to the north, and two really large ass oceans on either side of mainland USA, and yet Progressive liberals live in fear of Russia only as a tactic to deflect the election loss........ of course, womens rights, illegals, abortion, etc......will become hot button retoric for 2020....... that's all liberal Progressive Democrats have is to make up "issue" lies, socio-political lies in order to win the White House........ but of course, to be fair, Republican conservatives do it (issue lies) too with the police state, industrial military complex and religion.
Anyone who believes or has trust in any official that represents the two party system (local con artist officials too) and most of these other third parties must be very confident that their future is going to get better hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, ACA, economy, jobs, losing home,losing lifestyles, losing much, but hey, things are getting better, mass depopulation odds have increased while global volatility increases.
People believe because they have greed that their life is going to be better......... somehow people believe because they want to have the best life possible........m but that belief is a mask that covers their eyes from the reality that shines so brightly that a retinal scan came back positive.
Fred, I'm constantly surprised at the facts that people defend this treason. Surely you can stretch your brain just once Fred, enough to honestly imagine if this was Hillary doing the exact same thing. The screams would be deafening. Fine, having another nation help swing our national elections doesn't bother you or millions of others. Neat. Am curious however, are you also just fine with Bannon being his main advisor? A man who not only believes Armageddon is coming but "...wants to see it happen.."? The daily lies continue, and the defending of these people is becoming much harder. When will people admit to being conned?

Hillary seems to have been doing the same sort of thing, just not in a way that pleased Russia as she tried to play hard ball with them, not make nice.
