Local Political Update
Just spoke with Richard Mostranski. He's the guy that was the other side of Richard Marks' campaign team- the one that ended up backing Nancy Flemming, as opposed to Shane Brinton, who supports Neely. They're running around the neighborhood doing the GOTV thing.
Cool guy. Enjoyed talking with him. Nancy wasn't with him. She was supposedy somewhere far behind. We'll see if she shows up at my house.

Man! I am hearing of multiple sightings of the Flemming crew all over the map! Is the Neely camp out there too? Anyone see them? The sign war should be insane this time. Fred are you going with a Nancy or Bonnie sign? You don't still have one of mine around do you? Just kidding.
Bonnie is out of town last I heard.
It' so cool to switch from a union liberal candidate to an ambitious neo-con republican women's club president wannabe! Surely people will see through the glue and re-elect Bonnie! Won't they?
Richard asks, "Fred are you going with a Nancy or Bonnie sign?".
I've still got Nancy's old sign from the primary in the garage. I'll put it out at the appropriate time. Richard asked why I didn't have it out, after I told him I still had the sign. Nope, not until a month or so before the election.
If not for the Marina Center/ protectionism issue, I might not be inclined to vote in that race, but since Flemming seems to be the less protectionist, I'll vote for her, unless circumstances or issues dictate otherwise.
Oh, in case anyone was wondering, Nancy never came by last night.
Protectionist? Do you mean protecting Humboldt Bay from toxic leakage? Or protecting the citizens of Eureka from influence-peddling by their most wealthy resident? Or is the word used in some Orwellian manner?
Protectionist as in trying to keep out new businesses in the county that could compete with existing businesses.
Wow,the supposed anti-war Fred supports a pro-war candidate.I guess some will accuse anyone of being anti-war nowadays.
Need I remind you that one's position on war vs. anti- war isn't an issue for a Board of Supervisor candidate. If all else was equal it might be a factor to help one decide, but in this case there is at least one other issue involved.
Besides, does anyone know Bonnie Neely's position of the Iraq Invasion, or other war related matters?
Fred,So what.We don't need these folks running things. If you think the war doesn't effect this county, ask the families of the hundreds of men and women currently serving, over what..Saddam's links to Al-Queda,WMD's,oh the other one,his connection to 9/11.Billions of dollars wasted for nothing.Nancy's amigo,Mr.Arkley dumps huge amounts of money into campaigns of the most conversative republicans. You don't think this financial and emotional disaster hasn't affected us here, come on Fred.I see no reason why you would support either of them.
Nobody doubts the effects of the war on the county anon 1046. What's in dispute is the effect of the county council on the war.
Exactly. Whether Flemming or Neely end up winning, it will have no effect on Rob Arkley's financial contributions to conservative candidates who may, or may not, support attacks of other countries.
interesting debate.
as for my two cents, worth less than or equal to their weight in zinc, i'm against all the stinking bozos - they all just want to jerk us around!!!

I think you ought to check the Form 460s for campaign donors. It documents who is the financially largest "influence-peddling by their most wealthy resident" in Humboldt County. The truth might surprise you.
By the way, it's public information to those who want to be informed and not just drink the kool-aid served by Salzman, Kerrigan, Cobb, Neely and Loco Solutions. Aren't they all the same? BTW - all those names are financed by this same wealthy resident.
"Kool aid koolaid can't wait!" "Which I had some tastes Great!"
