Limousine Liberals?
Pun intended.
Love seeing the occasional story on public officials espousing one thing and doing another.
In fairness, I can see how mass transit wouldn't really fit in with Villaraigosa's lifestyle.
I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. I can hardly wait for Erik and Heraldo's rationalizations in defense.
Another example of an aspiring liberal ditching his ethics and turning into just another beauracrat.

dickie's lost it.
Isn't New Yorks Mayor known for taking mass transportation to and from work most days?
That would be Mayor Bloomberg? I've never heard of him doing that, but maybe.
What about our own Jeff Schwartz who ran for Arcata City Council espousing the need to develop and use public transportation, all the while driving from Arcata to Eureka each day and admitting he's never used the bus.
I don't know Schwartz, but if he's a proponent of public transportation, he should at least try it out.
I did so last month. It took about an hour to get from McKinleyville to the Bayshore Mall.
If you use the bus, you can expect to double or triple your commute time.
But all my buses arrived on time. It's a good way to get around as long as you're not in a rush.
Do they sing Meet the Flintstones on the bus?
I'm too good to spend an hour sitting with teh rabble aboard a public bus.
Now where is my limo driver?
