Musgrave Starts Campaign Yahoo Group

I mentioned earlier on that Arcata libertarian, Ed Musgrave, announced his intention to run for 1st District, State Assembly, next time around. Now (give him credit for starting early) he's started up a Yahoo Group to develop "stands on my issues".

He hasn't mentioned rent control yet, something he apparently supports, at least according to his last letter to the editor, but it's still early. Most of what he's posted, so far, involves reigning in abuses of Child Protective Services and other government agencies.

If interested in seeing what else is on his mind, sign up for his Yahoo Group.

Ya think he stands a chance again Chesbro? Chesbro has a LOT of people behind the scenes doing the dirty work...case in point Rob Amerman.

Hey! Chesbro has to survive the primary first. And he will have at least two Democrats from Humboldt to contend with besides who knows who will come out from the southern part of the 1st District. Maybe a Windsor candidate? He won't just waltz into another government job. 2008 should be interesting. I know I have been successfully garnering financial commitments for the run. Going to be a spendy election. May have hold many more softball tournaments between now and then.

What is musgrave's platform on the need for a police review committee?

Of course we cannot have the cops peers sitting on the committee. Rather it will consist of virtuous businessmen and other virtuous members of the community.

I have no idea, although I don't know that would be an issue appropriate for a candidate for state assembly to address.

Why not ask him.
