Eureka Greens?
Just who is who in this outfit? Seems like you need a program to figure out who all the players are.
Just checked the Eureka Greens blog. It's been updated for the first time in a while. They've got meeting minutes posted and a bunch of resolutions there for all to see.
Still somewhat confusing as you have to figure out who is doing what. We now have the Eureka Greens, the Waterfront Greens and the map of Eureka even shows some supposed other sub groups. I know there's been some sort of split amongst them but it's hard to tell who split from whom.
It gets even better with the Eureka Greens web pages, there being at least two now. One , I would think the older one, is eurekagreens.org. There's also the newly established eurekagreens.com. The two domains are owned by two recognizeable names amongst those that pay attention to such things: Xandra Manns and Heidi Calton, in that order.
Good thing the Libertarians aren't that confusing. That's one good thing about not being organized: Nothing to get confused about.
Does that make any sense?

Perfect. Herding cats would be easier than figuring out the Green Party of Eureka.
Who cares? They demonstrated their infertility with the smashing defeat of Local Solutions candidates.
Infertility?
Isn't there like 4 or 5 Green parties in Humboldt County alone? Each one crazier then the last one?
Green Party=Partying with someone else's green, be it money or bud.
Fred, as a Libertarian, and being for lowering taxes, how do you and/or your party feel about a 15% flat tax across the board? I know the Greens would like to make it 80% for anyone without a ponytail. Seriously, what about a flat tax?
I wouldn't mind some sort of flat tax.
Problem is most tax reform ideas is they simply want to take the same billions or trillions of dollars from poeple a different way.
They never talk about reducing the amount of money taken from people, they just want a different way of taking it.
I agree with that. You are a fairly good recruiter for the Libertarian party. With the exception of drug legalization I agree in principle with Libertarians. The Republicans are going to have to work hard to keep me registered with them. The alleged party of small government, eh? Fat chance.
Looks to me like David Giariazzo is posting minutes from the Eureka Greens, even though he hates them (just read his blog to get that news). i don't know why this would be. But if you look at the minutes and agenda he has posted on his blog they are the same minutes that are posted at this website:
http://www.eurekagreens.com.
There are no minutes or records of any kind from the "waterfront greens" except those resolutions on David's blog. Probably means they don't actually meet or even really exist.
Isn't having tiny/nonexistent meetings and then passing a bunch of resolutions the thing that made a bunch of people take over the Eureka Greens in the first place? Looks like "waterfront greens" have just formed to preserve the right of the wacky people to rant about others.
It's too bad the Greens let this kind of stuff happen, I agree with their values, but political parties aren't for me. But I guess it would be hard to stop whackos from doing what they want, free country and all.
From the "Eureka Greens" blog:
Former Secretary amused while Eureka Green Party Burns
Hi Folks! I am happy to say that I am still living in Eureka, I am still registered Green, and I share this blog with other Green members not content with the direction the Eureka Greens have gone. (No fault by the current Chairperson, but largely due to David Cobb and his devotees.) The day that Cobb and his druigies take off the makeup, cast away their smarmy semi-professional facade and are exposed for the charlatans they are, that will be the day this Roman enters the forum of meetings with the Eureka Greens. It really irritates David that he can't control everyone he meets. He once made a declaration of a peace treaty immediately followed by a barrage of questions concerning items up for discussion that were posted anonymously on this blog. Cobb wanted to ban any question or item remotely connected with Charles Douglas, and extended that to any person with an IQ larger than David Cobb. I felt that, no matter who it is, registered Green or not, their thoughts and point are valid enough to bring up. So, in response to you Eureka Greens that think I should comply with your demands on changing my blog name, I simply say, "burn, baby, burn!"
Guess this answers the question of why the old name even though he is now a "waterfront green". There is a creepy picture of him in a toga along with the above post. Anyone who would dress up like that to post something like this has gotta be whacky. I find it icky and would definitely want to avoid meetings with this guy!
Interesting that while he says the Eureka Greens are going down in flames, they seem to be doing a lot and have more people at there meetings than before (at lease it looks that way from the notes he's posting). Good for them!
Did anyone here see the "Life of Brian?" The GP discussions locally sort of remind me of all of the little groups passing resolutions in that movie.
Lots more people at Eureka Greens meetings you say, you mean the David Cobb, his roommates plus Heidi, same as always, at their January meeting?
