CHP Seeks Rodoni Accident Witnesses

I can't help but wonder if any of the witnesses that the Highway Patrol has interviewed were among those that some claim reported the lady who hit Rodoni was reported as driving recklessly prior to the accident? I'm eager to find out the results of their investigation.

Poor choice of words Fred.

For using "dying" in the last sentence? Nothing intended by that, but as touchy as some people are, I can see how some would be bothered. I've replaced it with a better word.

I'm curious as to why you call that "wreck" that cost a life an "accident"?

Why not? As far as we know, the lady didn't intend to run into Rodoni's truck.

Really?

When people drive 35 miles an hour in a 25 MPH School Zone they INTEND to hurt someone, whether it be a pedestrian or people in someone's truck.

No one ever intends to do anything do they? We're all acting on good faith when we deliberately sail right through a stop sign.

Nobody's perfect. We all make mistakes.

The first week I bought my truck, I was involved in a fender bender in a parking lot. Hardly caused any damage to my truck. I figured it was a little of both our faults for not paying attention. Neither of us intended to run into each other.

Shit happens.

Yeah! We know how is, the Devil made me do it. AND PEOPLE DIE! So what?

We got anarchy and chaos out here on these streets of Eureka and we all wonder why.

No one INTENDS to hurt anyone just because they are driving a bit over the speed limit, Joe.

So you think 35 mph in a 25 mph school zone is okay, just because no one INTENDS to run over someone's kid? A little anarchy’s okay, then? Is that what you are voting for by driving or espousing the right to drive “a bit over the speed limit”?

The law establishes INTENT!

I'd like to see you try that argument on a CHP officer when you're driving a fuel tanker with 8,500 gallons of high octane gas. Motor vehicles are lethal weapons when used outside the law. The people that die as a result are just as dead whether you INTEND it or not.
