This just in from Marcy Burstiner:

Fred,

You might want your blog readers and poster to know that I'm guest hosting
Thursday night talk tonight on KHSU from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the subject
will be blogging and citizen journalism. I believe the guest is going to be
Joel Milke.

But you or some of your readers and posters might want to call in with

Joel Milky? Is he the Carson Park Ranger? Arrogance personified? Is that who is going to represent Blogs on the Radio? Heavens to Murgatroid! This will never do!

"Heavens to Murgatroid!".

I know I've heard that before, but where did it come from?

I believe you are right about that. Hannah-Barbera, or I miss my guess. But WHICH cartoon? Now I'll never get to sleep!

Yeah, but even if he had, we probably wouldn't have known who it was.

Thanks, Nate.

"Heavens to Mergatroid" was Life of Riley's line, wasn't it? The cartoons stole it from William Bendix.

And btw, how could Marcy have a representative show on blogs when the rag she writes for plays the politics of slander and censorship with local blogsters like me whose opinions editor Hank Sims is afraid to let NCJ readers read?

Who appointed Joel Mielke to represent us anyway? He’s the lowest little gutter snipe around these parts. Eric can do radio well, as can Bill and Richard, who actually promote dialogue. All Joel does is degrade people with different political opinions.

I thought Joel did fine on the show. I don't believe I heard him degrade anyone.

Of course, he didn't need to try and degrade me. I can do that quite well enough all by myself.

I only heard the last five minutes, but I say Joel was fairly self-denigrating. Or self-depreciating... Wish I'd been able to tune in.

I had kind words for Rose on the show, but I was a bit hard on Anonymous.

Sorry, Anonymous, but you need to shape up.

So, now that comment moderation has been enabled, will I be able to respond to Stephen's allegations of political bias and censorship at NCJ practiced by Hank Sims?

Think of it as a public service, Stephen.
