Dumbocracy?
Just got the heads up on this book from J.D. Tuccille's Disloyal Opposition blog (October 16 post). I might just have to order it since it appears the author goes after both the Left and Right. First question is, does he capitalize the two words as I often do? From the cover, it looks like he might.

This book reminds me of a film we watched last weekend called, Idiocracy. I can't believe I watched the whole thing, but there were some funny moments.
Speaking of dumbocracy, anyone else notice Bill Holmes demanding the purge of the local ACLU because they oppose Measure T?
Such a Democracy Unlimited-led purge did the trick for the Green Party, that's for sure. Times-Standard reported yesterday how the Greens lost 20% of their members in just the last year alone (Year 2 of David Cobb and Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap's uncontested domination of the Humboldt Green Party).
As I'm sure you're happy to hear Fred, the Libertarians (as well as Peace and Freedom) both saw gains in the last year in Humboldt, while the Greens sank faster than the Dow Jones.
Fred, I'm proud of the work I did on this piece. I sure hope you won't consider it completely off-topic.
When OJ was a sports star and then a movie star, we admired him a lot. I think everybody did.
How were we supposed to know he was a wife-beater?
The news media did not tell us anything about that.
His first trial proved he was a repeat offender. But the news media did not tell us anything about that.
Were they trying to help him keep his image clean?
When it came out, finally, after years, the kind of man he really was, I took a lesson from that: The news media cannot be trusted.
We need to pay attention to the news, but it is just as important to notice what the news media does not report.
This is very important right now because the news media is selling us a product without letting us see the warning label.
The "product" is Obama.
The warning label can only be found on Fox News.
