Maybe this will help

Politics now hurts my heart. When I read about it, think about it or argue about it - it just hurts. But maybe I was just naive in the past.

Fred the awkward satellite dish on the front side of your house is ugly, non-compliant with city code, brings the neighborhood down, and is not health-minded (possible radiation hazard). Please take it down or place it somewhere more appropriate, like the back side of your house, or somewhere out of view. I do not want to bother the city with this, since they will be busy enforcing the smoking ordinance. But I feel I need to involve them if we cannot solve this situation together. Take it down now, please.

Class act Anon

You want to resolve a neighborhood issue on a blog.

In my neighborhood we talk with each other instead of engaging in online hardball power plays. If the only thing that offends you is a neighbor's dish, you might want to consider yourself a happy fellow.

But irresponsible whiners are rarely content or rational.

Freds dish is a serious hazard. Its even more serious an issue than the smokers in downtown. Freds dish sits there, hour after hour, day after day. It is a visual issue, but it is also a potential radiation issue. This device must be removed, and removed immediately. Imagine having a chain smoker attached to the front side of your house 24/7 - this is the issue the community faces. Do the right thing Fred, and take the goddamn dish down before I have to involve the authorities who will no doubt cost you money. Have a day.

I have an angle for you. How about the early mud slinging from Bonnie at Virginia. Sure, it's her fault we are $4.1M light in the coffers. Think about it, with the rest of the cities in CA. in the same shape, and the state in the same hole, I guess you can't hold the sales tax responsible now, can you? Nice try Bonnie the voters saw thru you last time, and this just doesn't help.

If you consider people smoking downtown as a serious issue, you must have nothing to do.

Actually, the above was from me. Don't know what happened.

Fred, I have contacted Ron Kuhnel regarding your satellite dish. He says he will come check it out in the morning. Ron informed me there was a case on Buhne Street where the satellite dish was blocking the view of oncoming traffic, creating a hazard. As I came home today, I realized your illegal setup was really borderline infringing on the street viewscape. I am concerned for the safety of commuters and pedestrians, especially the children. Take down your satellite dish now.

Anonymous, I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
