Bush/Obama Inflation Arrived?
Leonidas seems to think so. I just got home from Taco Bell where a 7 Layer Burrito used to be $1.79. At least I think it was last time I was there a few months ago. It was around $2.19, before sales tax, today. That's quite a jump.
It the coming months and years it might be tough to tell just what's causing any price jumps in California since voters made sure the last couple elections prices for food and energy will likely go up in this state, regardless. Either way, if inflation isn't causing the price increases, there will be hell to pay in California when the inflation does get going.

Fred, where have you been since 2001? Prices have been rising steadily for years. My 65 cent taco sauce now costs $2.29. Maybe you've been fooled by the downsizing of packages. Under Bush, my 12-pack of frozen burritos became a 10-pack, then an 8-pack. The price remains steady though, so woo hoo!
At least we have food. In other countries the price of wheat, or the lack of it, is causing major disruptions, even riots. And yes, we seem to be printing off enough money to make everyone scared, and given how our 'economic crisis', bailouts, and Goldman-Sachs getting off scott-free were never fully resolved, it's time to hang onto your hat, Fred. We'll remember that high-priced Taco Bell burrito today as being part of 'the good times when the cotton was high'.
