Humboldt Beekeepers
I've seen a couple Craigslist ads recently from people asking for a beekeeper to come remove beehives on their property. I sent them a link to the Humboldt Beekeepers web site. They have a "swarm" list there of beekeepers available for removing bees. Just posting a heads up here in case readers know of anyone else that needs bee hives removed.

We have a tiny beehive, like one bee (or wasp?) building a nest under our porch. I wonder if it's too small for them to bother with? I'll give them a try. thanks for posting!
They're not interested in wasps, just honeybees. If it was a hive of honeybees, it wouldn't start with just one. They literally swarm.
Years ago we had a swarm show up and set up on the arbor near our back door- hundreds of bees in a big ball hanging on each other. We ended up finding a beekeeper to remove them. The swarm flew off before he showed up, though.
Damn, I guess I have a useless wasp next! I think I can use some sort of spray can wasp remover, I just don't want to piss him off too much
You can always just break up the nest during the daytime when the wasp isn't around and see if he comes back. Quite honestly, I've seen a number of those small nests and they don't cause problems. Maybe just leave it alone?
