The California Bicycle Coalition has an online petition you can sign opposing the mandatory helmet proposal recently proposed in the state legislature.

Yeah, we don't need those nasty helmets protecting kids and adults from traumatic brain injuries. If you've ever spent time with TBI victims you won't feel like signing that petition.
And it's been a law for how long that kids under 18 have to wear helmets? How many kids do you see wearing them? Next to none that I've seen.
And don't forget that people get head injuries in auto accidents. We should probably require helmets for driving in cars, too?
if Fred were to hit himself in the head with a stick enough times, he could inflict further brain damage. Now should we ban sticks Julie? I mean come on...
