A Liberty Cartoon
This cartoon is over at Liberty Unbound. I'm guessing it's supposed to be funny, but I don't get it. Can anyone enlighten me?
I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. If they do away with the Electoral vote, we're all chopped liver? Calif & Bloomberg will run the nation.
Wiki explains it -
"Since eating chopped liver may not be appreciated by everyone, the Jewish English expression "What am I, chopped liver?", signifies frustration or anger at being ignored on a social level.
An alternative explanation for the etymology of the "What am I, chopped liver?" expression is that chopped liver was traditionally served as a side dish rather than a main course. The phrase, therefore may have originally meant to express a feeling of being overlooked, as a "side dish."[2]"
The people's Republic of California is and has been imploding. There's a big slab of chopped liver in the middle here too.
