Taking The Fight To Betsy DeVos

NBC News reports anger over Betsy DeVos' confirmation as Secretary of Education has some parents threatening to fight back by home schooling their kids. That'll show her:

"DeVos, whom the Senate confirmed Tuesday to head the Education Department, is herself a big proponent of homeschooling."

I'm guessing Fred and most of the conservative leaners on this site will be happy with most Trump appointments PRIMARILY because they want to see the Left upset. I also think it's Trump's motive to piss off those that criticize him the most. As the ultimate narcissist, he just can't help himself.

I'm seeing the same people that criticized Clinton's Wall Street connections applaud Trumps cabinet. Should we be surprised?

Great, more parents need to home school kids, but maybe they too need the home schooling moreso than the kids?

Public schools are asylums for the future stupid.

Homeschooling your kids because you oppose a for-profit school privatization advocate is exactly backward. The first rule of privatization is to undermine public confidence in public education. The second rule is to enact laws that harm public education, driving families away from public schools. We have both of those in spades.

If she can drive anyone into homeschooling by her mere presence, it's a win in her book.

Who else is big with homeschooling? Religious zealots.

*cough* *DeVos* *cough*

When someone adds their family to the rolls of homeschooling families, they encourage lax academic standards for these kids. Why? Well, despite some states having good standards for homeschoolers, it's the religious right that continually presses to strip those academic standards in the name of religious freedom. The more families homeschooling, the more they feel empowered to get their way, and they have the perform store of control over the three branches of government now.

Someone who is an activist for public money funding religious schools is now the secretary of education.

Who really believes public schools makes much of a difference. Students get educated after moving out, learn all they were taught prior was manipulated monkey butt smell.

Normal people look back and admit what history in their life was unnecessary.

Public school is for social interactions, a skill in its own right.

What good does a public school really provide other than baby sitting......really, if adults are dumb outside their job, then education was not needed for a job when training suffices......and all those college degrees having nothing to do with the eventual career of the college grad.....coulda invested, worked flipping burgars and still be ahead than a graduate......foolishness, utter foolishness.

Only morons believe that public education has not already been undermined by itself, public education.

Privatization merely cleans up the mess.

Who supports religion in public schools?

Ask these question:

Do teachers go to church?

Do pastors serve in government?

Etc.

So it seems institutions are not sanctid, don't practice seperation of church and state.

Government infiltrated by relgious zealots.
