Two Vs. Chesbro

I see the Republicans found someone to challenge Wes Chesbro for Patty Berg's State Assembly seat. Haven't I heard or read Jim Pell's name somewhere else recently?

Not sure if the Eureka Reporter got this right, or not. They say Chesbro and Pell will be the only two candidates in that race. Last I heard, Libertarian Ed Musgrave had turned in his nominating signatures, although he also said something about running as a write- in candidate. Not sure if that will work but, regardless, unless Ed dropped out, there should be three candidates in the 1st District race.

Hmmm...come to think about it, I received a spreadsheet from the Libertarian Party of California a little while ago showing all the LP candidates that had made the ballot around the state. Ed Musgrave's name wasn't among them, but that could be because Ed wasn't recruited by LP of CA. He entered the race on his own. LP of CA can't keep track of everybody.

Pell is a very class act. To bad the fix is in on Cheesbro plus over 3million tainted dollars to spin his BS.

Well, I'm not sure this Pell fellow will get anywhere, since he doesn't seem to have any kind of political history. The Libertarian Party throws out paper candidates all the time, with next to nothing to show for it. I can't help but wonder if that's what's going on here, from what I read in the Eureka Reporter: Another paper candidate.

Shame, because Chesbro is a major scuzzbag, but he's the Democrat's darling. He'll likely get elected with a landslide simply because of name recognition.

Elected in a landslide, very likely by the same people that keep imposing term limits on politicians.

Weird.

Looked up Wes's last name in the dictionary. First example was "carpetbagger". Nuff said.
