This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. Maybe that's why there's no list of people endorsing him? He doesn't want anyone to know who's supporting him? :-))
But, seriously; I'd like to see who's supporting him if only to see if there's any conservative types on the list. Remember, the Arkleys backed him last time around.
I was working next door to the Arkleys today and was hoping Rob would come outside. One of the questions I wanted to ask him was who they were supporting this time around in the DA race.
Did you visit this guy's site? What is he smoking and does he and his handlers (R. Trent Salzman and Sterling-Nichols, Twombly and Riggs) actually think that reasonable people are going to buy those sound bites?
He is hanging his hat on statistics and would mislead the public into believing that he is responsible for crime rates dropping. Really!
Crime has been going down statewide for 16 years. PERIOD! It has gone up in this county since he got elected. PERIOD! Sheriff Philp spoke at the Fortuna Rotary not long ago. He gave the correct statistics and said crime has gone up. When someone questioned Philp as to why his statistics are different than Tweedledums' statistics, he replied that maybe the difference is that he can add, but Gallegos evidently can't. You gotta love that.
As for me, I rather enjoyed reading the grand jury report that called Tweedledum an ineffective and incompetent excuse for a department head and pointed out that the office is in a terrible mess and that the community is suffering because of it. Maybe he is not listing names of supporters on his site because of who these "supporters" are.

I said earlier on, when we were discussing the issue, that I don't really know that any D.A. can honestly take credit for low crime rates, although they often do.
My favorite Gallegos quote is not on his site!

Bless you anon 2:24 for saving that one. I remember reading it and laughing at this neanderthal idiot. Do these guys really think that the public is so dumb to buy this BS? - this ain't the recall its a general election. Looks like without his dismissed civil lawsuit (tossed out because he got both the law and facts utterly wrong) he has to run on nonsensical rhetoric. Can't run on anything else, can he? This may just be a campaign for the record books as truly the most hilarious if it weren't for the fact that its pathetic and real people have been hurt by his stupidity.
How’s this for crime prevention from our lame DA. James Quittenton of Eureka sent unsolicited child porn an undercover person posing as a child. Police then served a a warrant on his home and found lots more kiddie porn. They then got a full confession from this pervert. While he eventually plead guilty to sending child porn and possession of an illegal weapon. He was given community service from the DA. This is all public record the case number CR053600S.
Because Gallegos has lost and fired all of his senior prosecutors and because of his stupidity there is no more vertical prosecution in his office of these sickos. Normally, with vertical prosecution, this case would have sailed smoothly thru the system. But things went terribly wrong because of the mess in his office. The case was ‘bounced’ to 6 attorneys. The attorney who finally handled the plea failed to raise the issue that his computer must be forfeited by law. The entire FORFEITURE issue was so mishandled that the Court ordered the computer returned. Doesn’t that make you comfortable to know a pervert who uses his computed to solicit children is doing community service and still has his computer to contact other kids.
Gallegos’ new motto “safety, justice and integrity” is an absolute joke!
