Tag 'Em Young

Looks like New Zealand is following the lead of some other Orwellian countries and looking at tagging every child for identification purposes. Looks like they're not actually going to put an RFID chip or tatoo on them, at least from reading the article. Probably more like our social security number and national I.D. card on steroids.

I remember some years ago there was talk of tatooing every child in this country at birth. Whatever happened to that? Anyone heard that idea being floated around lately?

Verichip. Every person being tagged is their long term goal so they're doing it in small groups for different reasons. Criminals so we can track them, elderly for medical reasons, spenders for convenience, children for their safety, and so on.
I'm going to buy stock in these chipping companies, course it'll be awhile before the revenue starts to pour in.

I read something a couple days ago about how someone demonstrated how a virus could be planted in those RFID chips and totally screw up whatever system is using them, whether it be a veterinarian, airport luggage handling or whatever.

Apparently it wasn't that hard to do and nobody had really brought up the subject until then, at least that's the impression I got.

Actually, I stand corrected. I did a search to find the article I was referring to and found this page. Looks like it's been thought of before:

And these folks say such fears are overblown:

Another group that will be chipped eventually is the homeless. I know someone mentions it on Buhne's blog but it's really no joke when you consider how the state views homeless people.

So Fred, under what conditions would you allow yourself to be chipped?

I've never thought about it. I don't know that I would, though, unless someone paid me a WHOLE BUNCH of money to do it.

We took in an urban outdoorsman from Orick in exchange for some work on our ranch. He was a nice guy but a little weird. He claimed to have been implanted with a chip many years earlier and was being tracked by the feds via satellite. He took off to hop a bus to Washington "to prevent a terrible catastrophy". We tried to talk him out of going but he was adamant. He left on Sept 5, 2001. We often wondered what happened to him. Strange but true.

Perhaps the feds did not want the catastrophe to be averted. Read up on conspiracies at infowars.com

I wouldn't let someone put a chip in me or my children.

People don't need to be able to keep track of me for their own purposes. And I know where my kids are for the most part, so what is the point? I have cats and am not going to bother putting a chip in them in case they get lost.

nah, they were just after that large triangular craft that was flying low to the ground and wasn't making a sound. Seriously though, what makes you think I'm not one of them?
