CPR: M.I.A.?
Rich Somerville writes about his weekend get together with Times- Standard readers in his column today. He says, towards the end of his column, that a "couple bloggers from the Eureka Standard..." were there and he's looking forward to their take on the meeting.
Hmmm...I assume he's referring to our very own Carson Park Ranger, yet no word at all on his blog regarding the meeting. In fact, the last post there was made on May 18. Did Joel throw in the towel and give up on his blog?
Let's hope not.

Let's hope so! CPR is really Joel Mielke from the Journal and specializes in blog trolling against whoever Hank Sims has his latest grudge against. To think you're going to get some balanced perspective considering the amount of shit-talking the Journal does about the Times-Standard on and off the page is pretty stupid Fred.

This has to be Joel Mielke and his latest disposable boyfriend. Kinda creepy to send a spy from a rival publication to Somerville's meeting.

Well, it is a fact that Joel is CPR, and Joel is kinda silly at times. But to call Joel a blogger is like calling me a left wing hippie down with freak power.
Carson Park Ranger introduced himself to me at a recent Humboldt County Board of Supervisors meeting. I found Joel to be quite pleasant in person!
CPR doesn't make posts as often as some of us other bloggers. My guess is that he will be back.

So, let me understand the situation. An ad rep has a blog hosted on Blogspot, a service that anyone can use to establish a blog in literally minutes. This ad rep attends a public get-together with the T-S editor, a meeting that anyone in the world was free to attend. And now we have an anonymous individual complaining because this ad rep writes his own opinions on his blog instead of the opinions of the complainer. I have one question. How freakin' stupid are you to whine about this? Literally, you must have nothing to do with your day except complain about your existence on this planet. Start your own blog and bitch there.
I guess Valerie Plame has raised the favorability ratings for spies.

Ooh! Ooh! I have a hypothesis. Maybe he hasn't had anything worthwhile to say, so he hasn't written a blog post. Perish the thought. A lot of bloggers could learn from him.

Joel and his wife are exceptionally nice people. Can't say he an I agree on most things political, but the snide remarks above are way off the mark.
What about the snide remarks on Joel's own blog? He seems to share Nick Bravo's obsession with Charles and Anon.R.Mous. Bravo and CPR are like birds of a feather.

I think it is rather odd that Joel used his time in the Journal to try and run a hit piece on some of the local bloggers, then posts a troll on his own forum claiming to be anti-troll.
Thank you Anon.R, you've been making more and more sense lately and this is a real gem. Joel is just plain obsessed with you and Charles and the rest of Bravo's hit list. It's truly frightening that this man is given the Journal bullhorn to spread these messages of hate under the guise of wit.
