Humboldt Mob Boss(?) Busted?

Well, probably not really a boss, but does anyone know this Michael "Tek" Williams guy?

Supposedly a local event promoter himself, it looks like he was trying to shake some other promoter down over an upcoming event.

Kind of exciting, actually. Who'd a thunk such things would happen around here, at least in regards local events? I could see it over drugs and such, but a dance?

The question is, is this just the tip of the iceberg? Is this Arcata's deep, dark secret coming to light? Will the promoters of the Kinetic Sculpture Race, among others, come forward now that this Williams guy is in jail and admit they've been paying the money to hold their event(s) too?

Did this Williams guy have all of Arcata running scared?

Probably not. I'm sure this is just an isolated incident.

Isn't it?

Arcata is a viper's pit of corruption and shady pay-offs, the stolen Kinetic race being the latest victim of their culture of theft.

Fred, mentioning the sculpture race here only opens the door for Nick and anon's rants on Harmony.Be prepared to hit the delete button often.I hope the sun comes out by the time the racers hit old town.,and I have some yard work to take care of.

Harmony ? The Rudabegggga Queen.

How can anyone take Arcata seriously with Harmony at the controls? Maybe not as bad as Mr. Merserve! Alex gives the council some credibility.

Like someone mentioned before; there is a reason you can no longer buy a new washer and dryer or a new car in Arcata. The police chief is affraid of his shadow. The whole place is a joke.

Another great race by three great ladies, with support from Hobart. The nutcase posting here is talking out his arse. Unrequited love bites hard I guess.

It's been well documented in the media that Hobart gave his nod to these folks keeping the race alive. I thought I even heard over the loudspeaker that Hobart was in attendance despite his recent health issues. And I did see his usual limousine trailing the racers. Sounds like someone just hates Harmony and will lie to be petty. Hmmm, I wonder who that could be.

You really deny that this is Harmony making the grab for easy money and political points in next years race?

I ain't denying jack sh*t assh*le! Political points for what race next year, the Kinetic Sculpture Race? You the dumbest and stupidest sombitch I've ever known.

The assclown seems to think the kinetic sculpture race is tied to governmental politics. Ahh yes, I can see the Rutabaga Queens now, gathering in the Carson Mansion attic to hatch their next plan to exploit the north coast. What a dingleberry. Move to Arizona already.

We don't want to know Nick. Really, not a single one of us is your friend here in Humboldt. You actually annoy us greatly with your depravity. Go away.
