Interesting story, at least I thought, about how deadly carbon dioxide can be under the right circumstances. I don't recall ever hearing about this when it happened.

Not at all 7:50 AM! While Al Gore is trying to raise taxes to buy "carbon offsets" and end civilization as we know it, real help is on the way!

This phenomena is happening in the US right now! But not to the degree of Lake Nyos. Horseshoe Lake by Mammoth Mountain is CO2 rich. As a matter of fact even the trees around it are dead or dying from the CO2 seeping from the ground and around the roots.

I heard this same CO2 effect happens around Leonidas at barbecues, after a couple martinis.
