Jager's REAL Kick- Off Event

Ok. This looks like the real thing. Frank Jager is formally announcing his candidacy for the Eureka City Council today down at the foot of F Street in Eureka at 12:30pm. Everyone's obviously invited or it wouldn't be in the paper, would it?

Esquan, head on down there and, if you can work your way in close to Frank, you might be able to wiggle your way into press camera view.

Funny thing is, the first I heard of this was when I read it in the paper this morning. You'd think there would of been some kind of communication with the supporters that attended that garden party last Sunday.

Nice picture of Frank in today's Eureka Reporter.

Maybe Eureka should revisit the Ward System style of choosing city council candidates. Both Frank and George are caring and thoughtful people. It is too bad that they have to run against each other.

I have nothing bad to say about Polly Endert, and it will be interesting to watch this race, as well. Linda Atkins is a solid candidate.

Wouldn't it be better if the people with the most votes could serve?

The Eureka Reporter kind of blew it by publishing what was supposed to be Frank's web site address. frankjager.org goes nowhere. I see Chris Crawford owns the domain but I've been told whoever was doing the web page ended up having some health problems and so they won't have a page right away.

Looks like Jager is aligning himself with the local Republican establishment.

I don't know about that. As Frank told me, "I'm supposed to represent everybody".

Fred is correct. We saw Frank today at Pierson's. He is a stand-up guy. But so is George Clark.

Although George Clark is about as openly hostile to the business community as I've ever seen from someone other than Caitlin Scopocci-Belknap. If he wins no good can come of it to employers in Eureka.

In response to Andrew Bird:

So who does it appear Clark and Atkins are aligning themselves with?

I always laugh when the usual suspects come out with the "alignment" possibilities because the shoe fits both feet, doncha know?

As I said before let the games begin!
