Hysteria Takes Charge In California

The Sacramento Bee's, Dan Weintraub, takes a hard look at one result of the global warming hysteria sweeping California and elsewhere: Most everything we do in this state might soon be put under control of the Air Resources Board. As Dan points out, the risks are great, the rewards uncertain.

As always, if asked for a login to the Sacbee web site, you can use humboldtlib for the username and blogspot for a password.

Addendum: The San Diego Union- Tribune also takes a look at AB32 and the Air Resources Board.

Addendum: The Sacramento Bee's, Dan Walters, also comments.

If Global Warming was real, the streets and sidewalks of Old Town Eureka would already be under water.

"Global warming" is all about enslavement, and extracting money from people, feeling pious about it - all the while the New Carbon Bankers fill their own coffers, own fleets of cars and mansions whilst they make you feel guilt living high on the hog in your 2 or 3 bedroom house with a refrigerator and a washer and dryer.

Before you all get to feeling TOO guilty, before you put on the hairshirt and tithe your few remaining dollars to the High Priest Carbon Bankers, think about the growhouse next door, people who are happily running up $5,000 + a month PGE bills (some getting public assistance while they pull down 6 figure incomes, and pay no taxes)...

How guilty should you feel?

Think about it.

Nobody says boo to the growhouser. Only to you, The one who LETS them control you.

That'd make a good post, Fred...
If Global Warming was real, ____________

Finish the thought, fill in the blank... See what people come up with...

I highly agree with Rose on everything, except about the "medicine" part. Those poor sick people need their drugs! And, medicine has always been expensive.

If people would apply themselves beyond the emotion of this "Global Warming" thing, they would be shocked with the reality of it. Global warming is more than just "How we feel about it". The reality is just to complicated for some people to grasp. The modern day snake oil salesmen are filling their tents with the fearful. Just as always, it is easier to have somebody else tell you what to think than to actually use your own brain. You might as well be trying to tell people that Santa is not really a person. Some people just want to believe in fairy tales.

Honest scientists will tell you that the warming that we are having is a natural cycle. That it is a precursor to a coming ice age, and man has little to do with it. Those Scientists all lose their government funding. Go Figur! There are a lot of snake oil salesmen in government. Some of them even get the “Nobel Prize”.

This comment obviously draws upon a wealth of scientific data.

Personal observation, CPR, is the type of evidence least likely to be influenced by the corrupt mass media or self-dealing politicians.

Yes, anecdotal information always holds sway over statistical data in scientific papers.

Anonymous may agree with the yokels who declare that cool winds are blowing in their neighborhood, so global warming must be a fraud, but I'm more likely to heed the science.

Thanks, Fred. An article by a confirmed anti-global warming guy, and another article from the "American Conservative Union Foundation."

Great sources on this subject.

No thanks necessary. I didn't expect you to believe what they had to say.

The man made aspect of global warming always gets buried under the paranoid rhetoric of carbon enslavement and overblown concerns about self serving, grant hungry scientists, while real climate change related human and environmental tragedies go unlamented. The lessons that could be learned by these repeating stations of denial obsession go unobserved, while we all approach the event horizon that marks the point of no return.

In nature's book of secrecy little do they read.
