Quotable Quote About California Voters

John Seiler, wrote in his California 2010: The Year In Review:

"And voters buying into the AB 32 mythology is the political and economic equivalent of the 1997 mass suicide of the Heaven’s Gate cult in Rancho Santa Fe.

Too funny. So true.

It's funny referring to global climate change as mythology because it's based on evidence, not politics. The irrefutable evidence is all out there in the open for analysis. Yeah, I said irrefutable. When you read a skeptic's 'evidence' on a website, you have an obligation to google for the refutations of the crackpot claims you're accepting because the crackpots are, again, proven wrong with evidence, not faith.

OK, OK, I was a little harsh using the word faith. In most instances, the crackpots argue based on a backward understanding of the particular field of science they are assaulting, which makes it all the more easy to demonstrate how their thinking is flawed and their conclusions flatly in error.

Over 31,000 American scientists think you're wrong. And that's just American scientists:

Remember Fred, God promised Noah that the planet won't be destroyed by global warming

Now there's some real science!!

Fred, interesting link (petition project), thank you. The scientists, though, didn't disagree global warming is occurring; merely that it may not be man-made and detrimental. They also were in disagreement about accepting the conditions of the Kyoto accord.

Nonetheless, Fred, it was an impressive link 'o strength. I didn't know about it. They know more about the subject than yours truly's box 'o rocks knowledge (without the box).

True, and that's actually my position, except I'm saying we don't really know how the climate may change over time. It used to be they thought we'd be entering another ice age, then we were warming. We don't know.

One thing I am sure of is what those scientists are saying: Assuming man can affect the climate in any way, it's insignificant compared to how natural forces have affected climate through the millenia.

I may be dating myself, but for 40 years I have been hearing/reading that we have "only 10 years to save the planet."

"Climate Change" has been going on since the planet was formed but it took the "progressives" to turn it into a religious scam.

Oops! My bad. Shamans have been with us since homo sapiens began walking upright.

"In the early 21st century, science has been hopelessly corrupted by the promotional needs of the power elite. Almost every part of science today is Big Science – funded for the express purpose of creating fear-based dominant social themes such as global warming that in turn encourage the globalist priorities of the "Progressives". The paperwork is endless. Today, Newton would not be sitting under an apple tree. He would be stuck indoors writing grant applications."

When I was in high school in the 70's it was the earth is getting cooler and get ready for the next ice age. Also, we only had enough oil for 20-30 years. Read the National Geographics from the 70's. In the 90's and into 2000 it was global warming, manmade, and caused by use of fossil fuels that we should not even been available as we should have exhausted them. Well, we now have more known reserves of fossil fuels (oil, natural gas, coal) than in the 70's, and now in 2010, we have "Climate Change (no shit Sherlock)." Many have made millions and even billions on this farse, including Gore. There just seems to be a large group of people that insist on buying "remedies" from quacks. Gore was just one of the latest quacks selling his remedies, and the sheepeople bought it right up to a president.

Yep. I remember seeing a front page illustration in what I believe was the Orange County Register back then of an ice bound New York Harbor. Something to get people's attention, I guess, but a bit different from today's global warming or climate change hysteria.
