Who Smokes The Most Pot In Cali?
The Sacramento Bee tells us what areas of California smoke the most pot. The biggest concentration? San Francisco. Who'da thunk? Don't they know smoking is bad for you? You'd think those assholes would want to make it illegal, or at least increase penalties for sale and use.
There's a color coded map of the state included that was a bit weird to figure out, but you can zoom in and out. Largest areas of use outside San Francisco is Northern California- the State of Jefferson as they point out. That's us, and Willow Creek is mentioned at the top of the story.

Interesting, thanks. I'm curious to know why you think San Franciscans would want to make marijuana illegal and/or increase the penalties for sale and use? Seems to me they're fairly liberal in the city but I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to some things. Regardless, I look forward to your take.
San Franciscans, by their very nature, are very authoritarian. There's enough of them, along with L.A., they've turned the whole state that way.
S.F. is big on anti- smoking or anything else they think might be bad for you. And being "fairly liberal" means they want to force their liberal values on everyone else.
The worst part of being in San Francisco is the San Franciscans. That's one thing I've found having spent a lot of time at UCSF.
Certainly there must be a libertarian hospital more to your liking, Fred, though I can't think of any offhand. My brother, a solid republican, went there for treatment. He didn't find it too liberal or conservative. Don't believe that mattered to him. I lived in SF for 6 years. Nice town with excellent transportation, good selection of restaurants, mostly nice people, lots of activities to get involved with and terrific climate. Even the fog is friendly.
Like any other popular city to live in, it has become very expensive. The upper classes, be they liberal or conservative, will always impose their ideology in one form or another. That's the way it is.
Chamber of Commerce supporters would certainly understand that.
Hope your continued dealings with UCSF prove successful. Perhaps some of that has you a bit off your stride.

Yes, I was born in California. I was mostly trying to make sure I could fit the title in the title field so tried to save space by omitting fornia.
