The New Lefty Group In Town
Any of the lefties that come here members of this new group, the Progressive Democrats of Humboldt County?
Not sure that there was any real reason to form yet another Democratic club up here as the current Democratic Central Committee seems quite far enough to the left to satisfy most lefties.
Then again, I'm not a Democrat so it's not for me to decide. Each to their own.

these same positions were taken by loco solutions, which already controls the democrat central committee. maybe its another tentacle of the democracy unlimited agenda to take over left-wing politics in humboldt county. we can look forward to this bunch backing dave meserve even while the green party searches for more viable candidates.
These guys believe that if you morph into enough different names the rest of us will think that these guys exist in vast numbers. Problem is that they are the same people using numerous titles.

HCDCC contains several patriotic former republicans. Gingrich's Contract On America and W's greedy bumbling are to blame. As a result, today's HCDCC is actually more moderate than say, the HCDCC of the eighties and nineties. So stuff it.
You are right in that they should have identified themselves, but it's probably Shane Brinton and Richard Marks pulling a stunt for Marks' campaign.

pdhumboldt.org is a riot, clearly done by the same guy (shane the commie) who did the one for richard marx. i love how they mix up the green imagery (undermine their rivals) with plugs for mike thompson, who always refers to himself as a conservative democrat! no ideology here, just naked flagellation before the altar of expediency.

I am moderate and a democrat and you guys make me cringe. You are alienating the rest of us regular life democrats and you are losing your credibility.

Im supporting Paul and Im a progressive and I still have to agree with you -- this PDHC group looks shady. No membership, no meeting times, no phone number, zippo -- they even list Measure T as more important than our next District Attorney and 4th Dist. Supervisor! These priorities are way out of whack.
I volunteer with the Measure T campaign and tonight I overheard folks saying that the way they found out that the new PDHC people endorsed them was through the Eureka Reporter article!
I thought it was kind of funny that they didn't even talk to the Measure T people.
9:40 said he supports Measure T - Since the US Supreme Court has clearly held this legislation "unconstitutional" the question to you is what other patently unconstitutional things should we waste our time and energy on?
PDHC does sound suspiciously like DUHC, otherwise known as Democracy Hypocrisy. Do they also take orders from David Cobb and do they also fail to practice the democracy they preach?
Democracy Unlimited Humboldt County should be called democracy hypocrisy. How could any organization which espouses "democratic principal" ignore the first amendment so blatantly. This smacks of social facisism. You gotta read the Belotti decision that the Supreme Court issued directly on point with Measure T.
No one can pull out one constitutional scholar that agrees with measure T. Oh sure you have 3 wacko's saying it is but based upon what.
If the US Supreme Court says it is unconstitutional, then that Bonifaz idiot's opinion that it is is simply nuts
but then again DUHC is nuts.
Looks like Shane Brinton is paying attention to the comments here:
Registered Democrats and other progressives are urged to attend PDHC meetings and join PDA. Meeting times and locations will be posted online as soon as they become available. The next meeting will take place in late May or early June.
Regular meeting times have not yet been set because the group is still small. More members are needed before such determinations can be made. Until that point, meeting times will be set to fit into current chapter members' schedules.
If you would like to attend our next meeting, please email us so that we can notify you directly when meeting times and locations are finalized.
Of course this still provides us with no names of any members or officers, no phone number, no mailing or physical address, and leaves us hanging as to how to join or where to participate. How Democratic.

12:15 has a great point. The DUHCs haven't come up with any support from the local legal community. Sorry but one hippy lawyer from Southern Humboldt who represents pot growers for a living doesn't make the cut.
what are you talking about? jim lamport only runs a legal services firm, hes just a paralegal! david cobb aint a lawyer either. all they got is poor befuddled paul and jim steinberg whos also set to retire as pd this year.
