Just Cause You're Paranoid- Part 2

I'll admit to being quite nervous when driving alongside any big truck. Here's why. I've read too many times about trucks losing their loads. This mess happened down by Ukiah. I'd have been hating it to be next to that truck when its load flipped.

Speaking of traffic, The Ukiah Daily Journal gives us a heads up on increased penalties for traffic violations, including drunk driving, that take effect January 1. Too bad they couldn't come up with a way to deal with stupid pedestrians that don't look both ways before crossing the street.

Some states have this "NO ZONE" project that helps tell the smaller cars not to drive in areas around trucks because of blind stops etc etc. But the best bet is not to play around on the inside or outside of a semi while they are going through corners.

Shouldn't this be part 3? First you were paranoid about leaving your house (and rightfully so since your trailer got smashed), then the leaning tree and now trucks with heavy loads.

The paranoia about the truck is completely reasonable. Given the thousands of people who die in car crashes it's surprising more people aren't paranoid every time they get into their vehicle.

"Shouldn't this be part 3?".

Perhaps, or maybe part 4, 5 or 6?

I was only counting the paranoia you've admitted to over the last few days.

Ah yes, the annual local government revenue enhancement measure. It is a way of preying on non residents thus avoiding a tax revolt and backlash by the voters.

Of coruse ΛΕΟΝΙΔΑΣ, I agree. Only non-residents drive drunk and violate other traffic rules. Uh huh. Yup.

I'd like to see drunk drivers lose their license for five years on the first infraction. Second infraction? Lose your license for life, and your case. Third infraction? Jail time for a year or more.

"and your case" = "and your car."

Isn't it amazing how anonymous folks can put words into other's mouths?

Isn't it amazing how the anonymous Pogo can't recognize obvious sarcasm?

On his blogger profile he says:

You must quit tormenting yourself, Pogo. Your fuzzy little brain just wasn't cut out for thinking.
