The LOWV Other Role

I was surprised to see that the League Of Women Voters actually serves yet another role other than sponsoring candidate debates and running the Smartvoter web site. I guess they also act as the Election Board for the Bear River Tribe of the Rohnerville Rancheria.

I get the impression, after reading this Times- Standard article, nothing is going to come of the attempt to recall their Tribal Chairman, Leonard Bowman.

from what i hear one of the matriarchs is related to bowman and won't allow the vote, guess the chances of them cleaning up their act aren't very good

I know that the LWV has served in other capacities similar to election boards for other groups.
The LWV supervises some large university student body elections. Including Fresno States.

We could sure use League supervision of HSU elections, what with the mismanagement of fake student representatives like Rob Christensen leading to abysmal 10% voter turnout and lack of confidence in results.
