HELP?
Not quite sure to make of today's My Word piece by Denver Nelson. He lists a number of things around Humboldt County he seems to find confusing. In closing, he notes that our Congressman, Mike Thompson, has been appointed to the House Intelligence Committee.
Not sure why he points that out. Is that supposed to be deemed as odd as he finds the other items he lists, or is he suggesting Mike Thompson is supposed to be here in Humboldt trying to work on all these supposed odd problems? If the latter, what exactly does Dr. Nelson think Thompson is supposed to do?
Seems to me most of the things Dr. Nelson mentions are local issues, not federal. At least they're supposed to be.

I'm sure that guy thinks everything he said is tied together by a theme.
I think all the political bigwigs from Humboldt county are "odd".
I think he's laughing that the hippies are eating their own, and then saying PALCO wasn't their fault, and at least not being very hippish about it.
Well, Palco wasn't their fault. Even Palco employees will agree with that.
Maybe he finds it odd that one of the congresscritters that went to Iraq in the fall of 2002 to suck up to Saddam

As is the usual case with Denver,he's half right and doesn't know it. He has the classic little man complex which he hides under the quize of I'm a doctor so I know all. Well as usual he's half rihgt again. Whats worse is the T/S not requiring a rewrite.

Carol Ann is another clueless member of the Humboldt Democratic Central Committee who should be voted out at the next opportunity. (Of course, she was never voted in by the public in the first place! She was put there by her fellow party insiders, just like Dennis Mayo and his Republican Central Committee colleagues)

Hey 4:29 I'm not surprised that I get some attacks but where in the world did that one come from and why? If you've got a beef with me I'm happy to discuss it with you.If you had the conviction of your opinions you would claim them. As I said earlier I disagree with Carol Ann and the Dem.CC a lot,so much so that, even though I will still participate when and where I can in the Dem.party locally,I felt compeled to change my party status.
