I suspect most Democrats don't think you too much different from Republicans. A lot of the viewpoints you express are similar to Republicans, not all, but many.
Given that, at least in America, Democrats are likely to have less faith, and some no religion at all, the devil image is oddly inappropriate because it requires superstitious beliefs.

Perhaps the image, but I would think the idea of the devil is pretty much accepted universally as being "a real bad guy".
Democrats don't think that Libertarians are the devil, they just think that they're stupid.
I also think some believe Libertarians are about zero government...anarchy and chaos.
Libertarians tend to be more unilateral in their righteousness, more set in their opinions as they embrace an ideal, evidence be damned. For imagery, I'd use a horse with blinders on.
