I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. Here's a map compiled by United Van Lines showing where they've been moving people to and from. Top three places people are moving to are Oregon, South and North Carolina. Top three people are moving from: New Jersey, Illinois and New York.

I'd love to read the comment forum on an Oregonian blog where this map is shared. They absolutely HATE people coming from out-of-state. The vitriol they have for Californians is amazing.
One time, I caught a TV news report about someone falling off a cliff at a state park and the explanation they gave for the accident was that the person was from California. Well, of course, that explains it.

I don't blame them. There's no doubt in my mind a lot of the people leaving California are the same ones that ran it into the ground. I wouldn't want to have a bunch of people moving into my state and trying to turn it into another California.
I agree athoratarian liberalism is a mental disease and its spreading fast but hey who wouldn't want to sit in their parents basement getting stoned collecting welfare playing video games and in their spare time dictate to everybody else how they should live their life.
